CMOS Sensors
CMOS sensors, or Complementary Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor sensors, are a type of image sensor commonly used in digital cameras and smartphones. They convert light into electrical signals, allowing for the capture of images. CMOS technology is known for its low power consumption and faster processing speeds compared to other sensor types, such as CCD sensors.
These sensors are made up of millions of tiny pixels, each containing a photodiode and an amplifier. This design enables high-resolution images and video recording. CMOS sensors are also versatile, making them suitable for various applications, including surveillance cameras and automotive systems.
