CCGs
CCGs, or Clinical Commissioning Groups, are organizations in the United Kingdom responsible for planning and purchasing healthcare services for their local populations. They were established in 2013 as part of the Health and Social Care Act to replace Primary Care Trusts. CCGs are made up of local doctors and healthcare professionals who work together to ensure that patients receive the necessary medical care.
Each CCG assesses the health needs of its community and allocates resources accordingly. They collaborate with hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare providers to improve services and outcomes for patients. CCGs also focus on preventive care and managing long-term health conditions to enhance overall public health.
