CASA Programs
CASA Programs, or Court Appointed Special Advocates, are community-based initiatives that train volunteers to advocate for children in the foster care system. These volunteers, known as CASA advocates, work to ensure that the best interests of the child are represented in court and during case proceedings. They gather information, provide support, and make recommendations to judges regarding the child's welfare.
The primary goal of CASA Programs is to provide a stable and caring adult presence for children who have experienced abuse or neglect. By fostering relationships with the children and their families, CASA advocates help to promote safe and permanent living situations, ultimately aiming to improve the overall well-being of the children they serve.
