C2 Server
A C2 Server, or Command and Control Server, is a centralized system used by cybercriminals to manage compromised devices, often referred to as bots or zombies. These servers send commands to infected machines, allowing attackers to execute various malicious activities, such as data theft or launching distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks.
C2 Servers are typically part of a larger network of malware, which can include botnets and malware like Trojan horses. They play a crucial role in maintaining control over the infected devices, enabling attackers to coordinate their efforts and maximize the impact of their cyber operations.
