César Pelli
César Pelli was an Argentine-American architect, renowned for his innovative and modern designs. Born on October 12, 1926, in Tucumán, Argentina, he studied architecture at the University of Tucumán and later moved to the United States, where he became a prominent figure in the field. Pelli is best known for his work on iconic skyscrapers, including the Petronas Towers in Malaysia and the World Financial Center in New York City.
Throughout his career, Pelli received numerous awards for his contributions to architecture, including the AIA Gold Medal in 1995. He founded the architectural firm César Pelli & Associates and served as the dean of the Yale School of Architecture. Pelli's designs often emphasized the relationship between buildings and their surroundings, making him a significant influence in contemporary architecture.
