Burmese script
The Burmese script is an abugida used primarily for writing the Burmese language and several other languages in Myanmar. It is derived from the Mon script, which in turn comes from the ancient Brahmi script. The script consists of circular and semi-circular characters, making it visually distinctive.
Burmese script is composed of consonants, vowels, and diacritics. Each consonant carries an inherent vowel sound, which can be modified or muted by adding vowel signs. The script is written from left to right and has a total of 33 consonants and 12 vowels, allowing for a rich representation of sounds in the language.
