Burma Empire
The Burma Empire, also known as the Pagan Empire, was a powerful kingdom that existed in present-day Myanmar from the 9th to the 13th centuries. It is renowned for its significant contributions to culture, architecture, and religion, particularly through the construction of thousands of Buddhist temples and stupas in the ancient city of Bagan.
The empire played a crucial role in the spread of Buddhism in Southeast Asia and established a centralized government that promoted trade and agriculture. Its decline began in the 13th century due to internal strife and external invasions, leading to the eventual fragmentation of the empire.
