Burgundian Wars
The Burgundian Wars were a series of conflicts in the late 15th century, primarily between the forces of the Duchy of Burgundy and the Swiss Confederation. These wars arose from territorial disputes and the desire of the Burgundian Duke, Charles the Bold, to expand his influence in the region. The conflicts included several notable battles, such as the Battle of Grandson and the Battle of Morat.
Ultimately, the wars concluded with the defeat of Charles the Bold in 1477, leading to the dissolution of the Burgundian state. The territories were divided between the Habsburgs and the Kingdom of France, significantly altering the political landscape of Europe.
