Bumblebee bat
The Bumblebee bat, also known as Kitti's hog-nosed bat, is one of the smallest mammals in the world. It weighs about 2 grams and has a wingspan of around 5.7 inches. This tiny bat is found in parts of Thailand and Myanmar, where it inhabits limestone caves and feeds primarily on small insects.
Bumblebee bats are notable for their unique appearance, featuring a pig-like snout and large ears. They are nocturnal creatures, using echolocation to navigate and hunt for food in the dark. Due to habitat loss and other threats, their population is declining, making them a vulnerable species.
