Bumblebee Bat
The Bumblebee Bat, also known as Kitti's hog-nosed bat, is one of the smallest bat species in the world. It weighs about 2 grams and has a wingspan of approximately 13 centimeters. This tiny bat is found in parts of Thailand and Myanmar, primarily inhabiting limestone caves.
Bumblebee Bats feed on small insects, using echolocation to navigate and hunt in the dark. They roost in colonies, often hanging upside down in tight spaces. Due to habitat loss and other environmental threats, their population is declining, making them a species of concern for conservationists.
