Brothers Montgolfier
The Brothers Montgolfier, Joseph-Michel and Jacques-Étienne, were French inventors known for creating the first successful hot air balloon. In 1782, they launched their first balloon, which was made of paper and cloth, demonstrating the principles of buoyancy and flight. Their experiments laid the groundwork for modern aviation.
In 1783, the Montgolfier brothers made history by launching a manned flight with a balloon that carried a sheep, a duck, and a rooster. This flight lasted about eight minutes and reached an altitude of approximately 3,000 feet. Their work inspired further developments in aeronautics and paved the way for future ballooning adventures.
