Brooklyn-class Cruisers
The Brooklyn-class cruisers were a group of light cruisers built for the United States Navy during the 1930s. They were designed to provide a balance of speed, firepower, and protection, featuring a displacement of around 10,000 tons and armed with 15 6-inch guns. These ships played a crucial role in naval operations during World War II.
A total of seven ships were completed in the Brooklyn-class, with notable examples including the USS Brooklyn and USS Phoenix. They participated in various battles in the Pacific Theater, showcasing their versatility and effectiveness in both surface engagements and anti-aircraft roles.
