British Aircraft Corporation
The British Aircraft Corporation (BAC) was a major British aerospace company formed in 1960 through the merger of several aircraft manufacturers. It played a significant role in the development of military and civilian aircraft, including the iconic Concorde, a supersonic passenger jet, and the BAC TSR-2, a tactical strike and reconnaissance aircraft.
BAC was involved in various collaborative projects, including partnerships with other companies and countries. In 1977, it merged with Hawker Siddeley to form the British Aerospace group, which later became part of the larger BAE Systems, a leading global defense, security, and aerospace company.
