Bristol Beaufort
The Bristol Beaufort is a British light bomber aircraft that was developed during World War II. Designed by the Bristol Aeroplane Company, it first flew in 1938 and was primarily used by the Royal Air Force. The Beaufort was notable for its distinctive twin-engine design and was equipped for torpedo bombing and level bombing missions.
The aircraft had a crew of four and was powered by Bristol Taurus engines. Although it was eventually outclassed by more advanced bombers, the Beaufort played a significant role in maritime operations, particularly in the Mediterranean Theatre and against enemy shipping in the Pacific.
