Brazilian Education System
The Brazilian Education System is divided into several levels: early childhood education, primary education, secondary education, and higher education. Education is mandatory for children aged 4 to 17, with early childhood education for ages 4-5, primary education from ages 6-14, and secondary education from ages 15-17.
Public education is provided by the government, while private institutions also play a significant role. The system is overseen by the Ministry of Education, which sets guidelines and standards. Despite efforts to improve quality, challenges such as inequality and regional disparities remain prevalent in the system.
