Bosanski rat
The Bosnian War (Bosanski rat) took place from 1992 to 1995, following the breakup of Yugoslavia. It involved several ethnic groups, primarily the Bosniaks, Serbs, and Croats, and was marked by severe violence, including ethnic cleansing and widespread atrocities. The conflict arose from political tensions and nationalistic aspirations, leading to a struggle for territory and power.
The war ended with the signing of the Dayton Agreement in December 1995, which established the framework for peace and the political structure of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The conflict resulted in significant loss of life, displacement of people, and long-lasting impacts on the region's social and political landscape.
