Booting
Booting is the process that occurs when a computer or device is powered on. It involves loading the operating system from storage into the device's memory, allowing it to function. This process begins with the BIOS or UEFI, which performs a self-test and initializes hardware components before locating the operating system.
Once the operating system is found, it is loaded into the RAM, and essential system files are executed. This prepares the computer for user interaction, enabling applications to run and perform tasks. Booting can take a few seconds to several minutes, depending on the system's speed and configuration.
