Boonwurrung
The Boonwurrung people are an Indigenous Australian group from the southeastern region of Australia, particularly around Port Phillip Bay and the Mornington Peninsula. They are part of the larger Kulin Nation, which includes several other Aboriginal groups. The Boonwurrung have a rich cultural heritage, including traditional stories, art, and practices that have been passed down through generations.
The Boonwurrung language, also called Boonwurrung, is an important aspect of their identity. Efforts are ongoing to revive and preserve this language, as well as other cultural practices. The Boonwurrung people continue to advocate for their rights and recognition, working to maintain their connection to the land and their cultural traditions.
