Bongo Drums
Bongo drums are a pair of small, hand-played drums that originated in Cuba. They are typically made of wood or fiberglass and have a high-pitched sound. Each drum is played with the fingers, and they are often used in Latin music genres, such as salsa and merengue.
The two drums, known as the "hembra" (female) and "macho" (male), are different sizes, with the hembra being larger. Bongo drums are commonly played in ensembles, adding rhythm and texture to musical performances. They are popular among both amateur and professional musicians worldwide.
