Bombay Beach
Bombay Beach is a small, unincorporated community located on the eastern shore of the Salton Sea in California. Once a popular resort destination in the 1950s, it has since experienced significant decline, leading to abandoned buildings and a unique, desolate atmosphere. The area is known for its striking landscapes and art installations, attracting visitors interested in photography and exploration.
The community is part of Imperial County and has a population of around 300 residents. Despite its challenges, Bombay Beach hosts events like the annual Bombay Beach Biennale, which celebrates art and creativity, drawing artists and tourists to the area.
