Bokashi
Bokashi is a composting method that uses a special mix of microorganisms to ferment organic waste. This process occurs in a sealed container, allowing food scraps, paper, and other biodegradable materials to break down without producing unpleasant odors. The result is a nutrient-rich compost that can be added to soil or used in gardens.
Unlike traditional composting, which requires aeration and can take months, Bokashi can ferment waste in just a few weeks. After the fermentation process, the material can be buried in soil, where it continues to decompose and enrich the earth, promoting healthy plant growth.
