Body Lice
Body lice are tiny insects that live on the human body, particularly in clothing and bedding. They feed on blood and can cause itching and discomfort. Body lice are often associated with poor hygiene and crowded living conditions, as they spread easily through close contact or sharing personal items.
Unlike head lice, which infest the scalp, body lice prefer to live in the seams of clothing. They can lay eggs, known as nits, in these areas. If left untreated, body lice can lead to skin infections and other health issues, making it important to maintain cleanliness and seek treatment if infested.
