Bodo Land Territorial Region
The Bodo Land Territorial Region is an administrative area in the state of Assam, India, established to provide autonomy to the Bodo people. It was created in January 2020 following a peace agreement between the Indian government and the Bodo groups, aimed at addressing long-standing demands for self-governance and development.
This region includes parts of the Kokrajhar, Baksa, Bongaigaon, and Dhubri districts. The formation of the Bodo Land Territorial Region is intended to promote the cultural, social, and economic development of the Bodo community while ensuring peace and stability in the area.
