Bodmer Papyri
The Bodmer Papyri are a collection of ancient manuscripts discovered in the 1950s near the town of Ptolemaïs in Egypt. Dating from the 2nd to the 4th century CE, these papyri include early Christian texts, such as the Gospel of Thomas and the Gospel of the Egyptians, providing valuable insights into early Christian thought and literature.
Named after the Swiss collector Martin Bodmer, the Bodmer Papyri are significant for their contributions to biblical scholarship and the study of early Christianity. They are housed in the Bodmer Library in Geneva, Switzerland, and continue to be a focus of research for historians and theologians.
