Blue-headed Vireo
The Blue-headed Vireo is a small songbird found primarily in the eastern regions of North America. It is known for its distinctive blue-gray head, olive-green back, and white underparts. This bird typically inhabits mixed forests and is often seen foraging for insects and berries among the foliage.
During the breeding season, the Blue-headed Vireo builds its nest in trees, usually at a height of 3 to 10 feet. It is a migratory species, wintering in parts of Central America and Mexico. The bird's sweet, melodic song is a characteristic feature, making it a favorite among birdwatchers.
