Bleeding
Bleeding is the loss of blood from the circulatory system, which can occur due to injury, surgery, or medical conditions. It can happen externally, where blood exits the body through a cut or wound, or internally, where blood leaks into body cavities or tissues. The severity of bleeding can vary, ranging from minor cuts to life-threatening situations.
When bleeding occurs, the body initiates a process called hemostasis to stop the blood flow. This involves blood vessels constricting, platelets clumping together, and proteins in the blood forming a clot. If bleeding is excessive or does not stop, medical attention may be necessary to prevent complications.
