Blast Furnace Slag
Blast Furnace Slag is a byproduct of the iron-making process in a blast furnace. When iron ore is smelted with coke and limestone, the impurities in the ore combine with the limestone to form slag. This molten slag floats on top of the molten iron and is removed for further processing.
Once cooled, Blast Furnace Slag can be crushed and used in various applications. It is commonly utilized as a construction material, in cement production, and as a soil amendment. Its properties make it a valuable resource for enhancing durability and sustainability in construction projects.
