Black-Winged Stilt
The Black-Winged Stilt is a wading bird known for its long, thin legs and striking black and white plumage. It typically inhabits shallow wetlands, marshes, and coastal areas, where it forages for small invertebrates and aquatic insects. This bird is easily recognizable due to its long, slender neck and distinctive long bill, which it uses to probe in the mud for food.
These birds are social and often seen in groups, especially during the breeding season. The Black-Winged Stilt builds its nests on the ground, usually near water, and lays 3 to 5 eggs. Their unique appearance and behavior make them a favorite among birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts.
