Black Ibis
The Black Ibis is a medium-sized bird belonging to the family Threskiornithidae. It is characterized by its glossy black plumage, long curved bill, and long legs. This bird is commonly found in wetlands, marshes, and grasslands across parts of Africa, Asia, and Australia.
Black Ibises primarily feed on insects, crustaceans, and small fish, using their bills to probe into the mud. They are social birds, often seen in flocks, and are known for their distinctive, graceful flight. Their habitat loss due to urbanization and agriculture poses a threat to their populations.
