Glossy Ibis
The Glossy Ibis is a medium-sized wading bird known for its striking iridescent plumage, which displays shades of green, purple, and bronze. It has a long, curved bill that helps it forage for food, primarily insects, crustaceans, and small fish in wetlands, marshes, and mudflats.
These birds are often found in flocks and are known for their graceful flight. The Glossy Ibis breeds in colonies, typically nesting in trees or shrubs near water. They are migratory, with some populations traveling long distances between breeding and wintering grounds, often in search of suitable habitats.
