Bill McArthur
Bill McArthur is a retired NASA astronaut and a former U.S. Army officer. He was born on December 29, 1951, in Bakersfield, California. McArthur flew on two space shuttle missions, including STS-58 in 1993 and STS-77 in 1996, and he has spent a total of 211 days in space.
In addition to his shuttle missions, McArthur served as the commander of the International Space Station (ISS) during Expedition 12 in 2005. He has contributed to various scientific experiments and technology demonstrations while in orbit, helping to advance human space exploration.
