Charles D. Gemar
Charles D. Gemar is a retired NASA astronaut and a veteran of four spaceflights. He was born on June 4, 1944, in St. Louis, Missouri. Gemar earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the United States Naval Academy and later received a Master of Science degree in the same field from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School.
During his career, Gemar flew on the Space Shuttle missions STS-38, STS-48, STS-62, and STS-67. He has logged over 1,000 hours in space and contributed to various scientific experiments and satellite deployments during his missions. After retiring from NASA, he continued to work in the aerospace industry.
