Beta Cassiopeiae
Beta Cassiopeiae, also known as Schedar, is a bright star located in the constellation Cassiopeia. It is approximately 230 light-years away from Earth and is classified as a spectral type K0 III giant star. Schedar has a surface temperature of around 4,800 Kelvin and shines with a luminosity about 1,500 times greater than that of the Sun.
As one of the prominent stars in the northern sky, Beta Cassiopeiae is easily recognizable due to its position in the distinctive W shape of the Cassiopeia constellation. It plays a significant role in navigation and has been studied for its physical properties, including its size and brightness.
