Bermuda Government
The Bermuda Government operates as a parliamentary representative democratic system. It consists of a Governor, who represents the British monarch, and a Parliament made up of two houses: the House of Assembly and the Senate. The Premier, elected from the majority party in the House of Assembly, leads the government.
Bermuda's political structure allows for local governance while remaining a British Overseas Territory. The House of Assembly has 36 members, while the Senate includes 11 appointed members. Elections are held every five years, enabling citizens to participate in the democratic process and influence local policies.
