Bee Colonies
A bee colony is a social group of honeybees living together in a hive. Each colony typically consists of a single queen bee, many worker bees, and drones. The queen's primary role is to lay eggs, while worker bees perform various tasks such as foraging for food, caring for the young, and maintaining the hive.
Bee colonies communicate through pheromones and dances, helping them coordinate activities like foraging and defending the hive. They work together to gather nectar and pollen, which are essential for their survival. A healthy colony can produce honey and contribute to the pollination of plants, benefiting the ecosystem.
