Beatrice D'Este
Beatrice d'Este (1475-1497) was an Italian noblewoman and the Duchess of Milan through her marriage to Ludovico Sforza. Born into the powerful d'Este family, she was the daughter of Ercole I d'Este, Duke of Ferrara. Beatrice was known for her intelligence, beauty, and strong personality, which made her a significant figure in the Italian Renaissance.
As Duchess, Beatrice played a crucial role in the cultural life of Milan, supporting artists and intellectuals. She was a patron of the arts, and her court became a center for creativity, attracting notable figures like Leonardo da Vinci and Bramante.
