Battlefield Earth
"Battlefield Earth" is a science fiction novel written by L. Ron Hubbard, published in 1982. Set in the year 3000, it depicts a post-apocalyptic Earth where an alien race called the Psychlos has enslaved humanity. The story follows a young man named Johnny Goodboy Tyler as he leads a rebellion against the oppressive alien rulers.
The novel was adapted into a film in 2000, starring John Travolta as the main antagonist, Terl. Despite its ambitious premise, both the book and the movie received criticism for their writing and execution. The film, in particular, is often cited as one of the worst movies ever made.
