Battle of Talavera
The Battle of Talavera took place from July 27 to July 28, 1809, during the Peninsular War. It was fought between the forces of the British Army, led by Arthur Wellesley, later known as the Duke of Wellington, and the French Army, commanded by King Joseph Bonaparte. The battle occurred near the town of Talavera de la Reina in Spain and was part of the broader conflict against Napoleonic France.
