Battle of Pilot Knob
The Battle of Pilot Knob took place from September 26 to October 1, 1864, during the American Civil War. It was fought near Pilot Knob, Missouri, between Union forces led by Colonel John McNeil and Confederate troops commanded by General Sterling Price. The battle was part of Price's Missouri Expedition, aimed at capturing St. Louis and gaining support for the Confederacy.
