Battle of Okehazama
The Battle of Okehazama took place in June 1560 during Japan's Sengoku period. It was a significant conflict between the forces of Oda Nobunaga, a rising warlord, and Imagawa Yoshimoto, a powerful daimyo. Nobunaga's army was vastly outnumbered, with about 3,000 troops against Imagawa's 25,000.
Despite the odds, Nobunaga launched a surprise attack during a rainstorm, catching Imagawa's forces off guard. The battle ended in a decisive victory for Nobunaga, leading to his rise in power and influence in Japan. This event marked a turning point in the unification of Japan under his leadership.
