Battle of King's Mountain
The Battle of King's Mountain took place on October 7, 1780, during the American Revolutionary War. It was fought between American Patriot militias and Loyalist forces led by Major Patrick Ferguson. The battle occurred in the Appalachian Mountains of South Carolina and was a significant turning point in the Southern campaign of the war.
