Battle of France
The Battle of France took place during World War II from May 10 to June 25, 1940. It involved the rapid invasion of France and the Low Countries by Nazi Germany. The German forces employed a strategy known as Blitzkrieg, which emphasized speed and surprise, leading to the quick defeat of French and Allied troops.
As a result of the battle, Germany occupied much of France, while the British Expeditionary Force was evacuated from Dunkirk. The fall of France marked a significant turning point in the war, leading to the establishment of the Vichy regime and altering the balance of power in Europe.
