Batter's Area
The "Batter's Area" refers to the designated space where a batter stands to hit the ball during a baseball or softball game. This area is typically marked by a rectangular box, known as the batter's box, located on either side of home plate. The batter must remain within this box while attempting to hit the pitch.
In the Batter's Area, the batter faces the pitcher, who throws the ball from the pitcher's mound. The goal is to make contact with the ball and hit it into play. The rules require the batter to avoid stepping out of the box during the pitch, ensuring fair play.
