Homonym: Bath Salts (Aromatherapy)
Bath salts are a group of synthetic drugs that mimic the effects of stimulants like cocaine and methamphetamine. They are often sold in small packages labeled as "plant food" or "bath salts," but they are not intended for bathing. These substances can cause severe psychological effects, including agitation, hallucinations, and paranoia.
The active ingredients in bath salts are usually synthetic cathinones, which are chemically similar to natural compounds found in the khat plant. Bath salts can be ingested, inhaled, or injected, leading to dangerous health risks, including increased heart rate, high blood pressure, and even death in extreme cases.
