Batasuna
Batasuna was a political party in Spain that emerged in the 1970s, primarily representing the interests of the Basque nationalist movement. It sought greater autonomy for the Basque Country and was associated with the ETA, a militant group advocating for Basque independence. Batasuna aimed to promote the rights and identity of the Basque people through political means.
In 2003, Batasuna was banned by the Spanish government due to its alleged ties to ETA and accusations of supporting terrorism. Following its ban, various successor parties and organizations emerged, continuing to advocate for Basque nationalism within the legal framework of Spanish politics.
