Bat Droppings
Bat droppings, also known as guano, are the feces produced by bats. They are typically small, dark, and crumbly, resembling mouse droppings but are often larger. Guano is rich in nutrients, particularly nitrogen, making it a valuable fertilizer for gardens and crops.
In addition to their agricultural benefits, bat droppings can pose health risks. They may contain spores of Histoplasma capsulatum, a fungus that can cause respiratory issues in humans when inhaled. Proper precautions should be taken when handling or cleaning areas contaminated with bat droppings to avoid potential health hazards.
