Base-10 Representation
Base-10 representation, also known as the decimal system, is the most common way we express numbers. It uses ten digits: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9. Each digit's position in a number determines its value, with the rightmost digit representing units, the next representing tens, then hundreds, and so on. For example, in the number 345, the 3 represents three hundreds, the 4 represents four tens, and the 5 represents five units.
This system is intuitive because it aligns with how we count using our ten fingers. When we reach 10, we start a new place value, moving to 1 in the tens place
