Bardi people
The Bardi people are an Indigenous Australian group from the northern coast of Western Australia. They traditionally inhabit the area around One Arm Point and the Bardi Islands. Their culture is deeply connected to the land and sea, with a rich history of fishing, hunting, and gathering.
The Bardi people have a unique language, also called Bardi, which is part of the Nyulnyulan language family. They maintain their cultural practices through storytelling, art, and ceremonies, preserving their heritage and connection to their ancestors. Today, the Bardi community continues to advocate for their rights and the protection of their traditional lands.
