Barcelona Process
The Barcelona Process is a diplomatic initiative launched in 1995 aimed at strengthening relations between the European Union (EU) and countries in the Mediterranean region. It focuses on political, economic, and cultural cooperation, promoting stability and development in the area. The process includes various meetings and agreements to enhance trade, investment, and social dialogue.
In 2008, the Barcelona Process evolved into the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), which expanded its scope and included new projects to address common challenges such as climate change, energy security, and migration. The initiative seeks to foster a shared vision for peace and prosperity among the participating nations.
