Banquo
Banquo is a character from William Shakespeare's play Macbeth. He is a Scottish nobleman and a close friend of Macbeth. Banquo is portrayed as a brave and honorable warrior, who, unlike Macbeth, does not succumb to ambition and treachery. He is also a father to Fleance.
In the play, Banquo encounters the three witches, who prophesy that his descendants will inherit the throne of Scotland. This prophecy troubles Macbeth, leading him to see Banquo as a threat. Ultimately, Banquo's fate is sealed when Macbeth orders his murder to secure his own power.
